The re-constituted Expert Appraisal Committee (EAC) for River Valley and Hydroelectric Projects, of the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (MoEF&CC), in the recently held meeting on 26th October 2023 discussed the imperative need for Cumulative Impact Assessment (CIA) and Carrying Capacity Study (CCS) of river basins concerning small/mini/micro hydro power projects across the country.
